GOING DEEPER: GOD IS HEALING

As a little girl, I loved pictures of Jesus carrying a little white lamb.

I remember one particular painting that depicts a sparkle and joy in Jesus' eyes over his lamb. I liked that warm Jesus.

At EMI's INGATHERING nights twice a month, a small group of "sheep" are making time to listen to God together. We have been deeply touched to participate in His tender healing among us.

As we sought Him in prayer, a childhood memory surfaced, a deep loneliness was met with tender truth, and a hidden belief that was creating debilitating fear was replaced with a stronger truth from scripture as God guided us in praying through besetting sins.

Healing and deliverance are happening among us in a very gentle and freeing manner as we use the skills we are learning and God does what he does.

We've laughed as the Lord has revealed something with humor as well as tenderness.

"This is church," said one person.

"There's valuable freedom in the ability to be vulnerable in a safe environment," said another.

Do you need to be carried? Encouraged? Healed? Perhaps you would like to dive deeper into God?

We all can experience the sparkle of His warm love and grace together.

One of the scriptures He gave us is Hebrews 12:1-3 (Everyday Bible Translation)

"So we have many people of faith around us. Their lives tell us what faith means. So let us run the race that is before us and never give up. We should remove from our lives anything that would get in the way. And we should remove the sin that so easily catches us. Let us look only to Jesus. He is the one who began our faith , and he makes our faith perfect. Jesus suffered death on the cross. But he accepted the shame of the cross as if it were nothing. He did this because of the joy that God put before him. And now he is sitting at the right side of God's throne. Think about Jesus. He held on patiently while sinful men were doing evil things against him . Look at Jesus' example so that you will not get tired and stop trying."

Renewing the Mind Facilitator Training

For the first time, we are offering a seminar on how to Facilitate Renewing the Mind.

We are working to make it easier for people to get the classes going in their church or small group.

DVD-based training is already available for Listening for Heaven's Sake and Speaking the Truth in Love. They have been effective to prepare those who haven't taken the class to be facilitators.

Renewing the Mind is a bit more challenging because the skills take you farther into the "deep heart."

Time: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm

You do not have to take Renewing the Mind first to qualify! Really!
